Embarrassed Robots project includes several participatory processes for a PhD research. One of the methods will be a video recording of the showcase of the project.

In several selected dates of the exhibition, we are recording visitors interaction with the robot within the exhibition space using a small camera.

If you are unwilling to be a part of this process, please put one of the stickers provided on your chest, then we will delete your footage.

If you do not put the sticker on, we will assume you have agreed to be recorded by default.

However, you are free to withdraw at any time and without giving a reason – Even if this is after you have not put on the sticker. Please send your request via email: embarrassedrobots@soomipark.com

The recordings will be only used for analysis of human-robot interactions. All recorded data will be treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you have any questions or concerns about the manner in which the study was conducted please, in the first instance, contact the researcher responsible for the study.

If this is unsuccessful, or not appropriate, please contact the Secretary at the Queen Mary Ethics of Research Committee, Room W104, Queen’s Building, Mile End Campus, Mile End Road, London or research-ethics@qmul.ac.uk.
